Eden
Eden, Oh thou wonderful valley,
Home of the blessed and pure.
Triumphant and grand finale,
Sins evils at last a cure.

How of’t I’ve longed for that garden,
Whence mortals were driven one day,
And thought of love and Christs pardon,
And wondered what I could say.

Beautiful, beautiful city,
A home where the saints can dwell,
Blessed Jesus and God had pity,
And ransomed a world that fell.

Jesus my loving romancer,
Oh, take me up there to stay.
If Jesus call shall not I answer,
And kneel by my bed and pray.

Eden where there is no sinning,
So near and so far away,
Eden that had our beginning,
I’ll answer, I will obey.
