No Meat To Eat
H. E. Crane
Surely love is ever due,
Who could doubt our God at all;
When with eye and taste buds too,
Rosy apples in the fall.
Nuts delicious, crunchy good,
Fruits abounding juicy sweet,
Surely this God meant for food
Not the poisoned flesh of meat.
"And God said, Behold, I have
given you every herb bearing seed,
which is upon the face of all the
earth, and every tree, in the which
is the fruit of a tree yielding seed;
to you it shall be for meat."
Genesis 1:29
